It was 40 years ago, in 1969. Jim Westmoreland put together a small "environmental" consulting firm in Winter Park, Florida. A radical idea in that day and time unless you were a part of a small group of Flower Children living somewhere in San Francisco. It was a concept that just wasn't universally accepted.

Within two years, Sci-Con became the leading sales and service arm of many analytical instrument manufacturers in the Southeastern United States, specializing in Chromatography and Spectroscopy.

Since that day, Westmoreland and company has supplied leading laboratories and research centers throughout the United States with quality state-of-the-art products.

Today, the operation includes Royce Bramlett, a Biochemistry PHD living near Atlanta, Georgia, who joined Sci-Con in 1981 as a Southeastern Representative. Recently, Jerry Dasson was named Sci-Con's North Florida Rep and he's now working out of the Winter Park office.

Together, they supply the labs of the world.
